Recording Skype calls on GarageBand with LineIn and SoundFlower (Mac)

Just wanted to keep a copy of this handy really.

Recording Skype calls on GarageBand with LineIn and SoundFlower (Mac) – 360east | design, media, technology.

Update: The above works well but AudioHijack Pro is a much more elegant solution.

  1. Richard,
    I want to record a podcast using all of the above but:
    1) I want to record my skype phone conversation with another person;
    2) I want to alter my voice, via Garageband
    3) I want the other person to hear my voice altered
    4) I want to record as the other person’s voice NOT altered, but mine altered.

    Right now I can’t figure out how to have Garageband record the other person’s voice as unaltered, while they hear mine altered.

    Suggestions?

  2. Hi AJ,

    I’m afraid I can’t really help you with that. I’m not really an expert in the area.

    Google is probably your friend here or, failing that, you might want to get in touch with a Mac Genius if there’s an Apple Store close to you.

    Good luck!
