In the few years we’ve been away from Aberdeen it seems like quite a few cool new cafes have opened up — which makes me feel much better about moving back here since I spend quite a bit of time working from these sorts of places :-)
In particular I really like how many new places are decorating their interiors with white walls, washed out woods, and very light pastel colours. It makes for so much more light and airy rooms than the traditional dark, wood-panelled pubs.
Today we had brunch at Cup Cafe on Little Belmont Street. The food was lovely but the best bit was the bathrooms! It was like falling down Alice’s rabbit hole:
